Ghandruk is at an altitude of around 1800 mt. from sea level. And yes the temperature here is a bit cold. The village is very much famous nowadays. People from many places visit Ghandruk. Especially those from the city areas to see and experience the typical village style culture and tradition. Almost all the locals are of the Gurung community in these area.
How to reach Ghandruk?
The way to Ghandruk is from the Pokhara Baglung Buspark ko Baglung Highway. Heading toward Lumle, once you reach Birethati leave the highway and take the Right Turn. You can find the Birethati Bridge and some Landmarks there. Birethati is the separation point of Ghorepani and Ghandruk.
You can have some rest here and you will find hygienic food here. Also, the view of Machhapuchre Himal starts to see from here.
The road from here is a little bit off-road, so you might wanna be careful from here. Some of the roads are breathtaking. It is very difficult for heavy vehicles to go this offroad in the rainy season as the road will be heavily damaged. Always be sure about the road condition if you are planning to travel to Ghandruk in the rainy season. You can also have a view of Landruk on the way to Ghandruk.
It will take you around 1 hour to reach Ghandruk from Birethati if the road condition is clear. Otherwise, you might have to walk from here too. It will be best to hike to Ghandruk from here if you wanna feel the village experience.
Once you reach Ghandruk you will see the amazing beautiful Ghandruk Village.
